Parasite (16+)

An incredibly successful Korean film directed by Bong Joon Ho, which excellently presents the wealth/income gap in not only asian countries, but internationally. Although towards the end the film gets violent and more heart wrenching, the underlying social commentary that is quite pessimistic, but in the end, captures the realities of economic inequality.

A Japanese light novel series written by Isuna Hasekura, labeled a “unique fantasy” due to the plot’s focus on economics, trade, and peddling rather than the usual staples of the fantasy genre such as swords and magic.

A Couple of Cuckoos (14+)

Nagi Umino and Erika Amano, a studious high school student and a social media star, had nothing that linked them together—until they found out they were swapped at birth. Accomplishments of the Duke’s Daughter

A young Japanese office lady is killed in a vehicular accident. After losing consciousness, she awakens in another world in the body of Iris, the antagonist of an otome game she had been playing before her demise. Iris uses her previous life's knowledge to bring about major, positive changes to her fief and the kingdom, such as the concept of banking and schooling for commoners who would otherwise not receive an education. She also introduces commercial products that had not previously existed or were only available in a crude form, such as chocolate and cosmetics, going so far as to start her own successful corporation.
